NABIA is a luxurius and charming country hotel
for adults only (kids +16), located in Candeleda, Avila, 190 km Southwest of Madrid.

The slopes covered with oaks and chestnut trees, the extense valleys and deep gorges, compose one of the most beautiful areas in the southern face of the Gredos Mountains. Nabia was in the celtic mythology the godess of forests, valleys, rivers and mountains.

Unique environment

Nabia is a place for resting, where you may come with big plans but finally may decide “in an active way” to do nothing.

The hotel is located 820 mt above sea level going up the mountain and is protected to the north by the Almanzor Peak (2.594m) and to the south, east and west spreads out the vast Tiétar Valley with the El Rosarito water reservoir and the Toledo and Guadalupe Mountains in the distant horizon.

Enviroment friendly

We have received the 4-star Ecostar Gold certification for our goal of reducing our hotel’s impact on the environment, eliminating plastic packaging from the hotel and strengthening waste recycling and reducing water and energy consumption. With our common effort we can do it.

Ecological wastewater treatment

The wastewater treatment system is made by floating macrophyte (MCF – floating macrophyte). Filtration system and purification plant 100% organic that eliminates the accumulation and collection of sludge.

100% of our heating and hot water is generated with biomass boilers which operate with vegetable waste and do not add new CO2 to the environment.

Our garden

In our garden and in the garden, we use natural fertilizers and organic treatments without harmful chemicals to the environment.

We want to create little light pollution as the starry heavens that can be seen are a true gift of nature. Therefore the outdoor lighting is limited to entrances and pathways. We have flashlights available in case someone should need them.

It is a paradise on earth with a subliminal atmosphere and attention to detail. The rooms are large with a rustic and modern decoration that gives it a romantic air. The staff is professional and friendly.

Absolutely stunning attention to detail

From the elegant breakfast facilities and the gazillion of eggs in which your eggs could be cooked to perfection to the stunning scenery and the incredibly chic room interiors. Really, could spot no element to complain about. It provided the setting to the best work retreat I could have possibly imagined. My only regret was that I visited in late October, and the weather was a wee bee chill - nothing compared to mainland Europe, but still. I think in early autumn the place is simply astonishing. So zen.
